Jenson Button has been handed a three-place grid penalty for Sunday’s United States Grand Prix.
Button has been handed the penalty for a red flag infringement during the opening practice session, which was topped by Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso.
The McLaren man was deemed to have overtaken on the circuit after the practice session was red flagged due to an incident involving the medical helicopter.
