Red Bull name Fallows as new aero chief as Prodromou heads on ‘gardening leave’

Red Bull has named Dan Fallows as its new Head of Aerodynamics with immediate effect, as former aero chief Peter Prodromou steps down from the role in preparation for his move to McLaren.

McLaren announced last October that they had succeeded in luring Prodromou, who worked for the Woking-based outfit between 1991 and 2006, back from Red Bull, where he has played a key role in the development of the last four championship winning cars alongside Adrian Newey.

Red Bull confirmed in a statement that Prodromou has “commenced a period of gardening leave,” adding “we would like to thank him for his valuable contribution during his time with the team.”

Fallows, who worked as a team leader in Red Bull’s aerodynamic department before taking a break in 2013, rejoins the Milton Keynes-based outfit, despite having been linked with a move to McLaren earlier this year.
