Nico Hulkenberg has completed his first test in Porsche’s updated LMP1 car ahead of his World Endurance Championship debut.
Hulkenberg, who is still yet to drive Force India’s delayed 2015 Formula 1 car, tested the updated Porsche 919 at the Bahrain International Circuit on Monday.
Alongside his Formula 1 duties, the German will race at the Six Hours of Spa, before tackling the Le Mans 24 Hours as part of a three-car Porsche team later this year.
The 27-year-old will be partnered by Porsche GT drivers Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber in the third 919, while former Formula 1 racer Mark Webber will drive a sister Porsche throughout the season.
